‘Taylor Swift Said Save 2020′: Here Are the Best Celeb Reactions to the ‘Folklore’ Announcement

Celebs from Lil Nas X to Jesse Tyler Ferguson are taking to social media to share their excitement over Taylor Swift’s surprise announcement of her eighth album, Folklore.

Always one to support his fellow artists, the “Old Town Road” rapper replied directly to the superstar’s big reveal with a video of a basketball team dancing on the sidelines during a game. “Let’s goooo!!!!! we can’t wait !” he captioned the hilarious clip.

Rising pop singers got in on the fun too: “Not not curious about this new t swift album,” Shura tweeted, while Fletcher declared, “Taylor Swift said save 2020.”

Jesse Tyler Ferguson also shared an amusing conversation with his husband Justin Mikita about the LP’s pending midnight release. “‘What the hell are we supposed to do until midnight!?’ -@JustinMikita on waiting for new @taylorswift13,” he tweeted.

Folklore is set to drop on July 24 along with the music video for first single “Cardigan.” The announcement of the new album, which Swift wrote and recorded in isolation during the ongoing pandemic, arrives on the heels of her 2019 LP Lover and comes exactly one year after she unveiled fan-favorite track “The Archer” as a pre-release buzz single.
