Sitting atop giant block letters, Myke Towers and Juhn had the audience on their feet during their performance of “Bandido” at the 2021 Latin AMAs on Thursday (April 15). The set design was a nod to the upbeat single’s cover art.
With an image of a giant skateboard in the background and six masked dancers in the foreground, Towers took the Latin AMAs stage for his second performance of the night, delivering a spirited rendition of his chart-climbing hit. “Bandido” has spent 15 weeks and counting on the Billboard Global 200 chart, so far peaking at No. 11.
Towers is nominated in three categories this year: new artist of the year, collaboration of the year and favorite urban song, both for “Caramelo” with Ozuna and Karol G.
Hosted by Mexican actress Jacqueline Bracamontes, the 2021 Latin AMAs – live from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida – also featured performances from Ozuna, Maluma, Camilo, Los Dos Carnales, Eslabon Armado and more.
