Margo Price Says Husband Jeremy Ivey Is Recovering From Coronavirus

Margo Price’s husband, guitarist Jeremy Ivey, is starting to feel better after battling COVID-19, the country singer-songwriter revealed on CBS This Morning.

“He is finally in just this last week getting back to being more like himself,” she said in the at-home episode that aired Saturday (June 13). “He was in a worst state than I’d ever seen him in my whole life. I mean, he got thin and frail and he was just sleeping like 12-14 hours a day. I was pretty terrified.”

Price — who first told fans that Ivey was experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, and was high risk due to being diabetic/hypoglycemic, on April 13 — quarantined with her family for 70 days straight while her husband was ill, and postponed the release of her upcoming album due to coronavirus.

“I miss going to shows, I miss being onstage, I miss being on tour. I even miss airports at this point, something I’d never thought I’d say,” she admitted, but added: “I am really grateful that I have been able to see every milestone with my [infant] daughter. When they’re that young, they do change very single day. It’s been a blessing in disguise in that way.”

Price also performed “Letting Me Down,” “Drifter” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Things Have Changed” on the CBS This Morning segment.

Her new album, That’s How Rumors Get Started, is now due out July 10.
