Live Nation Vet Russell Doussan Launches Doussan Music Group

Former Live Nation president for New Orleans Russell Doussan has launched a new company, Doussan Music Group.

“Introducing each artist to their fans through the live music experience is a passion of mine. As the artist hits the stage, feeling the energy in the room and hearing the venue come alive, is what drives me. Music is the soundtrack of our lives,” he tells Billboard.

The company plans to have their first live shows in late Summer and Fall of 2021 where markets with a full scale return slated for 2022. Doussan says DMG is fully funded with significant equity and liquidity for national tour deals and local territories including the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and the city of Memphis.

Doussan has worked in the concert business since 2000. His former company lDMG Presents was acquired by Live Nation in 2014 and he was appointed to the position of president of Live Nation New Orleans.

Doussan’s main office is in Mandeville, Louisiana.
