Here Are the Artists Who Inspired P!nk Over the Years

P!nk named her last album Hurts 2B Human, but she shared a list of artists who’ve touched her life so much it seems to have changed her physical makeup.

“There’re a few artists in my life that’ve touched me in such a raw place in my heart that it changes the cells in my body,” she wrote on Twitter yesterday (June 24). “PJ Harvey.Linda Perry. Mary J Blige.Billy Joel.Donny Hathaway.”

Lastly, she mentioned TWO, a newly formed duo featuring former Nico Vega members Aja Volkman and Dan Epand, and shared a link to their latest “In This Rough” music video. “She rocks my f—ing world,” P!nk wrote of Volkman.

The pop star, who recovered from coronavirus with her 3-year-old son Jameson after being diagnosed in April, continues to use her platform to bring awareness to the pandemic. She told her 32 million Twitter followers yesterday to write to Congress to include the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which helps feed needy families, in its plausible next coronavirus relief package.

“As a record number of Americans are losing jobs or seeing their hours cut and millions of kids are missing school meals, SNAP is more important than ever,” P!nk wrote while sharing a link from No Kid Hungry that allows people to send personalized government letters about supporting SNAP. “Tell Congress to strengthen SNAP in the next #COVID19 relief package.”

See P!nk’s list of her biggest musical influences and the SNAP campaign to Congress in her tweets below.
