For King & Country Fans Surprise the Duo With Platinum Certification

For King & Country’s “God Only Knows” is officially certified platinum–and the group found out in the sweetest way.

Upon arriving at the studio recently to work on an upcoming Christmas album, Joel & Luke Smallbone were surprised with a number of fans on Zoom, holding up custom-made signs to the camera to spell out the message “Congrats on platinum.” The lucky fans were then able to chat with the duo, and express how much “God Only Knows” has meant to them.

“My oh my.. What a lovely surprise – ‘God Only Knows’ is Platinum!!” for King & Country wrote on Instagram, sharing photos and videos of the fun occasion.

The incredible accomplishment comes just a month after the duo’s new song “Together” arrived, and amassed over half a million on-demand streams in its first three days.
