Daddy Yankee & Marc Anthony’s ‘De Vuelta Pa’ La Vuelta’ Debuts at No. 6 on Hot Latin Songs Chart

A week after it debuted at No. 7 on the Tropical Airplay chart (dated Dec. 19) with only three days of airplay, Daddy Yankee and Marc Anthony’s “De Vuelta Pa’ La Vuelta” arrives at No. 6 on the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Dec. 26). In the process, it secures Daddy Yankee his 35th top 10 and a total of 81 entries on the list. Marc, meanwhile, collects his 27th top 10s.

“De Vuelta Pa’ La Vuelta” was released Thursday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET via El Cartel. Now, after its first full tracking week, the salsa collab. bows in the top 10 mainly on the strength of streaming activity.

Hot Latin Songs blends airplay, digital sales and streaming activity. “De Vuelta” logged 3.2 million on-demand streams in the week ending Dec. 17, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, and yields a top 20 debut on Latin Streaming Songs.

With 81 total entries on Hot Latin Songs, Daddy Yankee continues to have the third-most chart hits since the list’s inception in 1986, standing just behind Bad Bunny’s impressive 111 titles and Ozuna’s 82.

“De Vuelta” concurrently ascends 15-2 on Latin Digital Song Sales with 4,000 downloads sold (up 934%). On Tropical Airplay the “salsa de callejón” gets warmer to claim the crown, with a 7-2 sprint. It’s the closest Yankee has been to top the chart since his featured role in Romeo Santo’s “Bella y Sensual,” which also features Nicky Jam, ruled  for five consecutive weeks in 2017. In between, he earned one top 10: “Azukita,” with Steve Aoki, Play-N-Skillz and Elvis Crespo (No. 4 peak, 2018).

Back on Hot Latin Songs, while Yankee has enjoyed five top 10 hits in 2020, Marc Anthony secures his first since Oct. 2018 (“Está Rico,” with Will Smith and Bad Bunny, No. 5 debut and peak).

Luis Fonsi & Farruko Claim New No. 1s on Latin Pop Airplay: After 10 weeks in the top 10, Luis Fonsi and Farruko’s “Perfecta” hits No. 1 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart. Their first pairing hikes 5-1with a 25% boost in audience impressions, to 7 million, earned in the week ending Dec. 20.

“Perfecta” secures Luis Fonsi an eighth No. 1 dating back to his first: “Nada Es Para Siempre,” a five-week ruler in 2005. Farruko, meanwhile, clocks his fifth and second of the year: “Si Me Dices Que Sí,” the pop urban-tinged tune with Reik and Camilo, reigned for two consecutive weeks starting the June 13-dated chart.
