Creamfields, one of the UK’s biggest dance music festivals, has announced an upcoming virtual event happening in lieu of its 2020 festival.
Happening August 28-30, the weekend that would have hosted the actual show, Creamfields will host a livestream event featuring archived sets from more than 40 artists and including never-before-seen headlining sets. Announced today (August 3), the event will focus on sets from the longstanding festival’s more recent history.
Since launching in 1998, Creamfields has hosted the who’s who of the global dance scene, with headliners from the past half decade including Calvin Harris, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, Alesso, Tiësto, The Chainsmokers and more.
The 2020 event was scheduled to feature Armin van Buuren, Pendulum, CamelPhat, The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, deadmau5, Charlotte de Witte, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and more before cancelling due to COVID-19.
The festival has already announced its 2021 lineup, which will feature MK, Above & Beyond, Fisher, Martin Garrix, Gorgon City, the return of Eric Prdyz’s massive Holosphere live show and other scene stars. Details regarding the lineup and timing of this month’s livestream event are forthcoming.
