Clean Bandit and Mabel hit the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Oct. 24) as “Tick Tock,” featuring 24kGoldn, rises 12-10. It’s the sixth career top 10 for Clean Bandit and the first each for Mabel and 24kGoldn.
The song earned 1.6 million U.S. streams in the tracking week ending Oct. 15, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Clean Bandit topped the chart for three weeks in 2014 with “Rather Be,” featuring Jess Glynne. Along with “Tick Tock,” the UK outfit’s other top 10s are: “Rockabye,” featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie (No. 2, 2017); “Symphony,” featuring Zara Larsson (No. 10, 2017); “I Miss You,” featuring Julia Michaels (No. 6, 2018); and “Solo,” featuring Demi Lovato (No. 4, 2018).
Looking upward on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, the lead flips for the third straight week as surf mesa returns for a second frame on top with “ily,” featuring Emilee. The track first hit No. 1 two weeks earlier and then gave way to SAINt JHN’s 23rd week at the summit with “Roses (Imanbek Remix).” “ily” logged 46.2 million in all-format airplay audience and 4.9 million streams and sold 3,000 downloads in the tracking week.
On the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, “ily” achieves a new peak, bounding 41-28. 24kGldn crowns the chart for the first time, as “Mood,” featuring iann dior, jumps 4-1.
On Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Anabel Englund achieves her second top 10 with “Picture Us” (11-7). The track follows Englund’s “So Hot,” which hit No. 2 in May. “Picture” is snapping up core-dance radio attention on such leaders as Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution and KNHC (C89.5) Seattle. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters).
Additionally on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, David Guetta and Sia soar 18-8 with “Let’s Love.” It’s Guetta’s record-extending 27th top 10 and Sia’s sixth. The song is logging airplay on Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, KQPS Palm Springs, Calif., and iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio, among others.
Meanwhile, Marshmello and Demi Lovato dart 16-9 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay with “OK Not to Be OK.” Marshmello’s ninth top 10 and Lovato’s fourth is likewise earning support on Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel and iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio, as well as iHeartRadio’s Evolution Network.
