Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Prove They Can Be ‘Happy Anywhere’ With 2020 ACM Awards Performance

On Wednesday night (Sept. 16), beloved country power couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani showcased their chemistry while performing “Happy Anywhere” at the 2020 ACM Awards.

Singing at the Bluebird Cafe with his guitar in-hand, Shelton first sent his best wishes to avid county fans before diving into their latest collaboration. “I hope everyone is doing their best to stay healthy,” he said before powering through his sweet-sounding collaboration with Stefani. “Happy Anywhere” marks the couple’s first performance together at the ACM Awards.

Last week, The Voice revealed their first trailer for season 19, which will serve as Stefani’s return to the show after skipping the previous season. The singer and her beau will both appear as coaches once again alongside John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.

“We’ve been gearing up for season 19 of The Voice,” Legend previously told the Today Show. We’ve been hard at work putting the show together during these obviously strange times,” he said of the show returning amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We couldn’t shake hands. The coaches couldn’t hug their artists in the blind auditions. It’s different.”

The ACM Awards are produced by dick clark productions, which is owned by MRC Media, the parent company of Billboard.
