Ava Max Seeks Sweet But Psychotic Revenge in ‘Who’s Laughing Now’ Music Video

Ava Max has the last laugh in her latest single and accompanying visual for “Who’s Laughing Now,” which premiered today (July 30).

The “Sweet But Psycho” singer personifies her Hot 100 top 10 hit’s namesake when unveiling the track from “Side B: Hell” of her debut studio album Heaven & Hell, which will be released Sept. 18 via Atlantic Records. From a boss who steals her donut and fires her to a boyfriend who cheats on her, Max rages with fury and teaches them a “what goes around, comes around” lesson about karma.

She dances around the trashed office with her posse of coworkers and bashes her ex-beau’s vintage car with a crowbar in front of a blazing auto repair shop. Such behavior lands her in a psych ward, where she’s strapped in a straight jacket and maniacally laughs “Ha-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha” in the chorus before smashing her head against the glass wall and breaking free.
