‘American Idol’ Auditions Are Coming Virtually to Your State

Dust off your fanciest threads, and get to work on your vocal exercises. American Idol auditions are coming to your state soon.

Due to the health crisis, the nationwide search for the next batch of Idol contestants will be a virtual one.

According to “Idol Across America” organizers, custom-built Zoom technology will help wannabes chase their dreams and, just maybe, go on to compete to be crowned American Idol.

Kicking off from Aug. 10, remote auditions will roll out across all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., for the first time since the popular reality TV format began.

Staying true to its roots, aspiring Idols will receive “real-time feedback” on the day, a statement reads.

American Idol launched in 2002 and enjoyed a long run on Fox. Over the years, Idol has unearthed a long list of stars from Kelly Clarkson to Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson and many more. Just Sam (aka Harlem singer and songwriter Samantha Diaz) was crowned the winner of the 18th and most recent season.

The TV talent quest is entering its fourth season on ABC.

Hopefuls of the audition tour must be aged 15 – 28 years. To sign up or read more information, visit americanidol.com/auditions.
