Willie Nelson & Robert Earl Keen Headlined Joe Biden’s Texas Virtual Fundraiser

Willie Nelson and Robert Earl Keen performed at former Vice President Joe Biden’s Texas virtual fundraiser today (June 29) as the event’s headliners.

Former 2020 presidential candidates Julián Castro and Beto O’Rourke, as well as former president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America/Planned Parenthood Action Fund Cecile Richards, also made appearances this afternoon. The video call scheduled for 5:15 p.m. ET already sold out multiple ticket levels, including young professional ($250), friend ($500), advocate ($2,800), sponsor ($5,600), champion ($15,000), supporter ($25,000) and co-host ($35,000).

The 87-year-old artist/activist posted about the event on his Instagram yesterday (June 28), tagging #TeamJoe to show his support for the Democratic candidate hoping to beat President Donald Trump in November’s election. Fellow country music star Margo Price voiced her support for Nelson in the comments section, exclaiming, “YES WILLIE. Vote um out. Please & Thank you.”
