Watch Pentatonix Cover Billie Eilish’s ‘When the Party’s Over’ From Quarantine

Pentatonix dropped the socially-distanced video for their cover of Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over” on Wednesday (July 8).

The somber clip features all five members of the Grammy-winning a capella group performing the pop star’s hit single in black outfits against a simple white background. “Don’t you know I’m no good for you?/ I’ve learned to lose you, can’t afford to/ Tore my shirt to stop you bleedin’/ But nothin’ ever stops you leavin’,” Mitch Grassi sings over harmonies from fellow vocalist Scott Hoying on the ballad’s first verse.

This isn’t the first time Pentatonix has dipped into Eilish’s discography, either. Back in March, the quintet also recorded a cover of the teenager’s 2020 single “Ilomilo” exclusively for WhatsApp using 8D technology.

“When the Party’s Over” is featured on the vocal group’s latest EP, At Home, which was released June 24 via RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment. The collection of quarantine songs also includes covers of The Weeknd’s No. 1 hit “Blinding Lights,” Dua Lipa fan-favorite album cut “Break My Heart,” and The Cranberries’ 1992 classic “Dreams,” the latter of which the fivesome transforms into a tender, dreamy lullaby.
