Watch Official HIGE DANdism’s Lush, Uplifting Video for Movie Theme Song, ‘Laughter’

J-pop band Official HIGE DANdism shared its new music video for “Laughter,” a track on its upcoming four-song HELLO EP.

Takuto Shimpo — the visual artist responsible for a number of the band’s videos, including two of its biggest hits, “Pretender” and “I LOVE…” — directed the lush new visuals depicting the story of two young friends in the not-too-distant future, carrying out a grand plan to create a vast field of flowers all by themselves.

“I expressed the notion that ‘people always seek richness’ through these two noble girls,” he shared. “The story can actually be interpreted in various ways, so I’d like you to see it multiple times. Enjoy the beautiful music and visuals!” Watch below:

“Laughter” is featured as the theme of the upcoming movie The Confidence Man JP: Princess starring Masami Nagasawa, opening in Japanese theaters Thursday (July 23).
