Troye Sivan Kicks Off ‘In A Dream’ EP Rollout With Hypnotic New Single ‘Easy’: Listen

Fans of Troye Sivan have been patiently waiting for the star to unveil his next project — and it looks like the wait is over.

On Wednesday (July 15), Sivan announced his brand new EP, In A Dream. Set to be released on August 21, the six song “concept EP” will be the singer’s first since he released his 2018 album Bloom.

“A story that’s still unfolding, this small collection of songs explores an emotional rollercoaster period in my life when the feelings and thoughts were most shockingly fresh,” Sivan said of the project in a statement. “Revisiting these songs and moments is tough, but I’m proud of this music and excited to have it out in the world.”

To celebrate the news, Sivan offered fans a taste of what’s to come with his brand new single, “Easy.” With ’80s-twinged production and Sivan’s classic laid-back delivery, “Easy” follows the star as he examines a crumbling relationship, begging his lover to give their relationship a second chance. “This house is on fire/ Burning the tears right off my face,” he sings. “What the hell did we do?/ Tell me we’ll make it through.”

The new song comes after a series of teasers Sivan posted on his Instagram, including a series of video clips of himself singing along with the song. The teasers were from the official music video, which is set to premiere Thursday (July 16) morning at 7:00 a.m. PT.

“Easy” follows the release of the song “Take Yourself Home,” which will also appear on the EP.
