The Killers Bring Rock to Monday Night Football With ‘Mr Brightside’ Performance: Watch

There was a lot of rock on Monday Night Football as The Killers dished up their classic “Mr Brightside.”

Brandon Flowers and Co. took the stage in their hometown Las Vegas as the Raiders took on the New Orleans Saints for their home opener at Allegiant Stadium.

“It’s our pleasure to welcome the Raiders to fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada,” Flowers said in a prerecorded bit during the halftime break. “I think we’ve got just the song for the occasion.”

And they did. The local lads got to work on their breakthrough 2004 hit from Hot Fuss, which they performed on a purpose-built stage perched high above the Strip.

The Killers also found themselves on top of sales charts around the globe with their sixth and latest album release, Imploding the Mirage.

For the record, the Raiders got the win. Put another way, that’s a 100 per cent winning record for Raiders’ home games with The Killers performing at the half.
