Grammy winners Sting, Trisha Yearwood, Keb’ Mo’ and Jimmy Fallon are among the celebrities who will participate in “SeriousFun for All,” a virtual, free event that will stream on SeriousFun’s Facebook Live and YouTube on Sunday.
The event — where Sting will perform The Police’s 1983 classic “Every Breath You Take” — is aimed at raising awareness and support for SeriousFun’s camps and programs around the world. The nonprofit delivers memorable experiences to kids living with serious illnesses and their families, free of charge.
The SeriousFun Children’s Network was founded by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, whose extensive philanthropic work was recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in 1993 with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
This year’s virtual event is taking the place of the organization’s in-person galas in New York and London.
Oscar winners Dame Helen Mirren, Renée Zellweger and Allison Janney are also scheduled to appear, along with Mark Hamill, Michael Sheen, Rupert Friend, Sam Heughan, Laura Osnes, Takuma Sato, Aimee Mullins and Josef Newgarden.
