Say, When’s That Niall Horan/Selena Gomez Collab Coming?

Fans of Niall Horan and Selena Gomez have been clamoring for years for the two pals to collaborate, and on Tuesday (June 16), the former One Direction-er dished that he’s just as ready as they are.

The revelation came after one fan posted a picture of the pair (taken from a pre-quarantine group outing with friends in L.A.) on Twitter, writing, “Niall, what do you think about a collab with selena gomez? you both will smash it.” Although his handle wasn’t tagged, the tweet garnered nearly four thousand likes and caught Horan’s eye, leading him to reply, “Ready when Sel is.”

While Gomez has a long history of teaming up with artists ranging from A$AP Rocky (“Good For You”) and Gucci Mane (“Hands To Myself”) to Kygo (“It Ain’t Me”) and Marshmello (“Wolves”), the sole guest feature across Horan’s two solo studio sets comes from Maren Morris on Flicker album cut “Seeing Blind.” Meanwhile, Selena’s latest album, 2020’s Rare, also features collabs with both 6lack (“Crowded Room”) and Kid Cudi (“A Sweeter Place”).

Only time will tell what a duet from the two superstars could sound like, but we’re just saying, there’s no time like a quarantine to cook something up with a friend…Check out Horan’s reply to a fan below.
