Primus, Mastodon, Tool & Coheed and Cambria Members Team Up for ‘Anthem’ Rush Cover

A group of rock vets have taken some lockdown time to come together (virtually) and perform an at-home edition of Rush’s 1975 song, “Anthem.”

Primus bassist Les Claypool, Mastodon guitarist Bill Kelliher, Tool drummer Danny Carey, Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez and guitarist Stephen Brodsky are all featured in the clip, which shows the musicians in a split-screen, rocking out to their parts in their respective homes.

The clip is Patreon’s 15th in a project to benefit everyone involved in its creation. However, for this edition, the musicians are donating their funds to the Cancer Research Institute. Rush drummer Neil Peart died earlier this year following a brain cancer battle.
