Perfume Genius, Shamir & More Set For the Grammy Museum’s LGBTQ Music Panel

Pride Month may be over, but the Grammy Museum is ready to continue celebrating LGBTQ artists with their new panel.

On Tuesday (July 14), the Grammy Museum announced their brand new “Celebrate Music With Pride” panel in partnership with The Ally Coalition. Hosted “in honor of the 50th anniversary of the first Pride march last month,” the new panel will feature LGBTQ artists reflecting on the impact of this last Pride Month on the music industry.

Moderated by music journalist Eve Barlow, the panel will feature a conversation with queer artists including Perfume Genius, Lynn Gunn of PVRIS, Zebra Katz, Donna Missal, Shamir, and Shawnee.

Along with promoting the LGBTQ artists on the panel, the Grammy Museum will be giving all proceeds from the event to the Ally Coalition, a non-profit organization working within the music industry to mobilize allies of the LGBTQ community to help give back.

The Grammy Museum’s “Celebrate Music With Pride” panel will take place Tuesday, July 21, at 2 p.m. PT on the Grammy Museum’s Facebook page.
