On Sunday (Aug. 2), Williams shared screenshots of her favorite scenes from the Disney+ film on Instagram, starting with a still of her Destiny’s Child besties Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland from the “Brown Skin Girl” video. “When you’re trying to figure out what your favs are from #BlackIsKing! Ehhhhhhh just post ‘em all!!” she wrote.
But when a fan asked, “Where you at in the film tho??” Williams didn’t lose her breath over it. “I’m in the upper right corner minding my business!” she clapped back in the comments section, which has since been disabled.
Williams appeared in Beyoncé’s 2019 Netflix concert documentary HOMECOMING, which follows her historic 2018 Coachella performance when she became the first Black woman to ever headline the Indio, Calif. festival. Bey reunited the Grammy-winning R&B girl group, which officially disbanded in 2006, to perform a medley of their top 5 Hot 100 hits, including “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name,” and “Soldier.”
“It’s just like old girlfriends coming together,” Williams told Billboard in an interview following their legendary reunion in the desert. “It’s something that when the three of us come together, we all know we feel safe within each other. Like I got your back. We’re good. I really love that about us.”
