Lianne La Havas, The Aces & TREASURE Debut on Emerging Artists Chart

Lianne La Havas debuts at No. 10 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart (dated Aug. 1), thanks to her new self-titled third studio album.

The set, released on Nonesuch Records, arrives at No. 26 on the Album Sales chart with 3,000 copies sold (and drew 6,000 equivalent album units in its first week), according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Meanwhile, lead single “Can’t Fight” rises 32-26 on the Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart, reaching a new high.

On the Official UK Albums chart, the British artist earns her third top 10, as the new LP launches at No. 7. Her debut, Is Your Love Big Enough?, reached No. 4 in 2012 and Blood hit No. 2 in 2015.

Atop the Emerging Artists chart, NLE Choppa notches his 22nd week at No. 1, extending his record for the most time on top. His recent top 40 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Walk Em Down,” featuring Roddy Ricch, drew 11 million U.S. streams in the tracking week.

Elsewhere on Emerging Artists, The Aces debut at No. 31 on the strength of their second LP, Under My Influence. The set opens at No. 18 on Heatseekers Albums (2,000 copies sold). It’s the group’s second entry on Heatseekers Albums, after 2018’s No. 9-peaking When My Heart Felt Volcanic.

Plus, new K-pop group TREASURE bows at No. 43 on Emerging Artists. The act rises 18-14 on the Social 50 chart, reaching a new best, even ahead of any music available so far: Its first release is scheduled to drop Aug. 7.

The Emerging Artists chart ranks the most popular developing artists of the week, using the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which measures artist activity across multiple Billboard charts, including the Hot 100, Billboard 200 and the Social 50. (The Artist 100 lists the most popular acts, overall, each week.) However, the Emerging Artists chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard’s “Hot” song genre charts and/or consumption-based “Top” album genre rankings.
