Latin Remix of the Week: Feid’s ‘Porfa’ With Justin Quiles, J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Maluma & Sech

Feid wrapped up 2019 with his Justin Quiles-assisted track “Porfa,” a song produced by Sky Rompiendo that perfectly highlights the Colombian artist’s distinguishable R&B-tropical-pop fusions. In February, he dropped the official music video, and this week, he presented its remix.

Coining the song as “possibly his best song all year,” Feid recruited his good friends J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Maluma, and Sech for a star-studded collaboration.

“Porfa” is a song about those who want their ex to come back. “I ask you to please don’t leave, stay with me/ I lost track of all the days I haven’t eaten/ I’m going crazy looking for you and I can’t find you/ I don’t want to touch anyone else to be with you,” the lyrics express. On the remix, the collaborators spit their verses asking for their girl to return.

The nearly seven-minute music video, out Thursday (July 2), shows all six artists performing the song in a neon-drenched room with old televisions as different models are wandering alone as a sign that they’re enjoying their independence.

On the Billboard charts, “Porfa” has secured chart entries on Hot Latin Songs and Latin Airplay charts.
