Kelly Clarkson Covered ‘The Climb’ and It Was Sublime

Kelly Clarkson knows exactly what we need right now. We need an anthem, a song that is about the struggle and, well, “The Climb.”

In her latest distanced Kellyoke segment, Clarkson busted out the iconic ballad from Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana days on Monday (July 13) just crushing the tear-jerking ballad about never giving up.

Accompanied by majestic piano, stirring drums and powerful backing vocals, Clarkson flawlessly crooned the tune in the lead-up to a big finish.

The Cyrus cover came more than a decade after Clarkson first covered “The Climb” in 2009 with Jill and Kate the night after the VH1 Divas show.

Watch Clarkson cover “The Climb” below.
