Here Are All the Livestreams & Virtual Concerts to Watch During the Coronavirus Crisis: Week of Oct. 12

It’s a week full of big names when it comes to livestream concerts and events.

Things kick off Monday night with Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and others joining Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Michael Stipe and more to remember and carry on Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s legacy. Later in the week, Alanis Morissette and the Broadway cast of Jagged Little Pill will host a fundraiser for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, Stone Temple Pilots play their album Purple from start to finish, and more.

With the coronavirus pandemic ongoing — and now with cases rising in the U.S. again — many musicians have continued to hold virtual shows to safely entertain and connect with fans. Below is a list of socially distanced streaming events to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. This roundup will be updated as new livestreams are announced.

Oct. 12: Miley Cyrus, Michael Stipe, Demi Lovato, Hayley Williams and many more will be honoring late Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg during the “Honor Her Wish” virtual event. The event is being held to demand that the Senate honor her final wish that a new justice not be confirmed to fill her seat until after the inauguration in January. “Honor Her Wish” is being held on the same day as the first hearing of Donald Trump’s nominee for the vacant seat, and begins at 8 p.m. ET. The event is open to the public; RSVP here.

Oct. 13: Alanis Morissette and the cast of Broadway’s Jagged Little Pill: The Musical are hosting a virtual fundraising event for the Biden-Harris campaign. The event will feature performances, discussions and special guests. The event begins at 8 p.m. ET, with tickets starting at $25.

Oct. 15: Glass Animals will reimagine their live show as a broadcast dubbed “Live In The Internet.” The show will feature a full band performance, special guests and creative fan interaction — all in a striking virtual space. Tickets for “Live In The Internet” are on sale here.

Oct. 16: Stone Temple Pilots will perform the entirety of their album Purple for a livestream on their website. The set begins at 8 p.m. ET; tickets are $10.

Oct. 17: Sammy Hagar is holding a virtual birthday bash live from Catalina Island, Calif. He’ll be joined by Rick Springfield, REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin, and more. The celebration begins at 9 p.m. ET on Nugs.tv; tickets start at $25.
