HAIM Serves Cold Cuts & Clapbacks Behind Deli Counter in ‘Man From the Magazine’ Video

What’s the greater serve: HAIM taking orders from Canter’s Deli in Hollywood or the band clapping back at sexist men in the industry who belittled them?

Well, Danielle Haim serves both in the band’s music video for “Man From the Magazine,” which was released Wednesday (Oct. 7). The track comes from their third album, Women in Music, Pt. III, which topped Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart.

“This video was filmed the day we shot the cover for WIMPIII at Canter’s Deli in Hollywood,” HAIM explained in a press release for the video, which was directed by frequent collaborator Paul Thomas Anderson. “Paul came up with the idea after hearing the whole record and we both felt strongly that this song in particular needed a visual, so Danielle put on a mic and sang it live in the middle of the deli.”
