Gwen Stefani ‘Cannot Wait’ To Rejoin ‘The Voice’

Gwen Stefani is headed back to The Voice. The singer revealed on Tuesday (June 16) that she “cannot wait” to join fiancé Blake Shelton and the rest of the gang for the upcoming 19th season of the reality singing show. After Nick Jonas slipped into the #4 slot last season, Stefani is returning to the chair she occupied during season 17, where she’ll compete against Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.

Stefani and NBC announced the news on Tuesday, with Gwen sharing a pic of all four judges and the tease for the show’s return in the fall. At press time NBC had not announced how it will move forward on production of the show in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the show to go remote during the final rounds of the most recent season.

Stefani was a coach on seasons 7, 9 and 12 and mentored the singers in seasons 8 and 10.
