Fans Pick BTS’ ‘Stay Gold’ as This Week’s Favorite New Music

BTS’ romantic new song “Stay Gold” has topped this week’s new music poll.

In the poll, published Friday (June 19) on Billboard, music fans voted for the previously unreleased big-beat ballad as their favorite new release from the past week. “Stay Gold” brought in 84% of the vote.

The track was included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of the K-pop supergroup’s recent album, Map of the Soul: 7.

Even the clock hands/ Will stop moving/ Uh let it glow,” V sings in the pre-chorus before Jungkook, Jimin and Jin blend their voices for the soaring chorus (lyric translation courtesy of Genius). “Stay gold Even in a dream/ Stay gold/ I’ll find you/ Stay gold, gold/ I want to see you/ Stay gold/ You are everything/ Stay gold/ For everyone.”

Coming in second place with nearly 5% of the vote was John Legend’s new album, Bigger Love. And H.E.R.‘s moving new track “I Can’t Breathe” placed third with 3.3% of the vote.
