In the poll, published Friday (June 26) on Billboard, music fans voted for the catchy new song, which arrives on the heels of “Sour Candy,” the South Korean girl group’s recent collaboration with Lady Gaga.
“How You Like That,” which will appear on Blankpink’s forthcoming debut studio album, brought in 72% of the vote. The album is currently scheduled for release in September through YG Entertainment/Interscope.
Written by Teddy and Danny Chung, “How You Like That” ends Blackpink’s one-year musical hiatus since 2019’s Kill This Love EP, which reached No. 24 on the Billboard 200. The new song’s edgy video had already racked up more than 130 million views at press time.
Coming in second place on this week’s poll with 10% of the vote was Charlie Puth’s new song “Girlfriend,” his first single of 2020. Melanie Martinez’s powerful “Fire Drill” placed third with 8% of the vote.
