Elton John, Ed Sheeran & More: Who Should Win Top Touring Artist at 2020 Billboard Music Awards? Vote!

It’s weird to think about the impact of live shows after the coronavirus pandemic all but eliminated them. But in 2019, some world tours went down in history as the most lucrative and memorable in the entire music industry.

According to Forbes’ 100 highest-paid celebrities of 2020 listEd Sheeran’s Divide Tour from 2017-19 grossed $775 million, beating out U2’s 360° Tour from 2009-11 and officially becoming the highest-grossing concert tour of all time. Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour that began in 2018 grossed $212 million last year, “the second-highest tally in the business.”

P!nk’s Beautiful Trauma World Tour from 2018-19 grossed $397.3 million, becoming “the 10th highest-grossing tour in Billboard Boxscore’s history — and the biggest for a woman in over a decade.” The pop powerhouse went on to accept the Legend of Live and Tour of the Year Award at the Billboard Live Music Summit last November.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards will air Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. ET, live from Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on NBC, with Kelly Clarkson returning for her third year as the evening’s host. The 2020 Billboard Music Awards are produced by dick clark productions, which is owned by MRC Entertainment, the parent company of Billboard.

So which act’s tour around the world deserves to finally take home the title of Top Touring Artist at the 2020 BBMAs? Vote below!
