On Wednesday evening (July 8), Glee actress Naya Rivera went missing at a lake in Southern California. That afternoon, the actress had rented a boat with her 4-year-old son and taken it out on the lake. Hours later, the boat was discovered on the northern end of the lake, with her son alive and well, but Rivera missing.
Authorities in California’s Ventura County began searching on Wednesday evening, and resumed their search at first light on Thursday, searching for Rivera in what the sheriff’s office called a “possible drowning.”
Celebrities have been sharing their prayers for Rivera online, saying they hope the actress is found alive and well. Pop superstar Demi Lovato posted a photo of a candle on her Instagram story and asked fans to “Please pray for @nayarivera to be found safe and sound.” Rivera’s co-star Heather Morris also posted on her story, saying “We need all the prayers we can get to bring our Naya back home. We need your love and light.”
Many other stars shared messages of hope regarding Rivera’s return. Here are just a few of those messages:

Naya Rivera shaped my coming out and is a big reason I am so comfortable and proud to be an openly gay woman. I am so heartbroken

Prayers up for the lovely Naya Rivera.
We starred alongside one another in her first very television series, The Royal Family, and I’ve watched her career blossom ever since. Please God, don’t cut this life short. pic.twitter.com/8fRDuuh3oK
