Black Music Month 2020 Playlist: LVRN Encourage You to ‘Disconnect and Press Play’

This year, Black Music Month took a different turn. Because of the horrific deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and more at the hands of police, we at Billboard hope to uplift and empower African Americans during this cloudy and dubious time. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the remainder of the month, an artist will provide a playlist designed to remedy the heartaches endured by the Black community.

ATL collective LVRN — known for signing Summer Walker and 6LACK — deliver a flavorful collection of music including Frank Ocean, Sade, Kanye West and more to help everyone “disconnect.”

“During these trying and unprecedented times, music has been one of our key sources of joy,” they tell Billboard. “We encourage you to disconnect and press play on our Black Music Month playlist. Let it fill you up with inspiration, hope and love.”
