Atari Releases an Avicii-Themed Mobile Video Game: See Which Tracks Are Included

No one will ever play music quite like Avicii, but a new video game is giving fans the opportunity to try.

Out via Atari, Beat Legend: Avicii is a mobile game featuring 15 of the late producer’s biggest hits including “Hey Brother,” “Levels,” “Wake Me Up,” “SOS,” “The Nights,” “Without You,” “Waiting for love,” “Sunset Jesus,” “Lonely Together,” “Heaven,” “Fades Away,” “Broken Arrows,” “Addicted to You,” “I Could Be the One” and “Gonna Love Ya.”

The goal of the game is for users to move in time with the beats of these songs as they traverse an EDM-centric terrain of lights, lasers and fantastical landscapes. Additional Avicii tracks will be added to the game in the coming months. See a preview of Beat Legend: Avicii below.

“Atari is thrilled to again step into new territory and expand our portfolio,” the iconic gaming company is quoted in a statement. “And what an honor it is to do so with an artist as profoundly inspirational, talented, and beloved as Avicii. Beat Legend: AVICII has been a labor of love that we fully expect will be embraced by fans of rhythm-based games and devoted EDM fans alike.Stay tuned for more installments in Atari’s music-based game series that will feature some of the brightest current and up-and-coming stars from diverse music genres.”

Profits from the game will benefit the Tim Bergling Foundation, which focuses on suicide prevention and other causes that were close to the late dance producer’s heart.

“He was very direct, very honest; he was funny in a very subtle way,” Tim’s father, Klas Bergling, told Billboard in May. “He had a big passion for nature, animals and justice. He didn’t like injustice. He could be very naughty, and I think he was a pain for some people sometimes [laughs]. We really miss him. That’s absolutely so.”
