Lucky No. 6! Ariana Grande revealed on Wednesday (Oct. 14) that she’s got a new album coming, and it’ll arrive a lot sooner than you had expected.
“i can’t wait to give u my album this month,” Grande tweeted. Yes, you read that right — “this month” as in October. She has yet to share any additional information about her upcoming sixth studio release.
The singer, who recently collaborated with Lady Gaga for Mother Monster’s “Rain on Me,” last released an album in 2019. Thank U, Next dropped in February that year, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It has gone double platinum.
Producer Tommy Brown earlier seemingly hinted at the upcoming new album. On Oct. 10, he shared a photo of himself with Grande on Instagram and captioned it, “6****.” The artist herself gave Arianators something to sing about back in September. Grande tweeted a song snippet and what appeared to be a lyric on Sept. 14.
The singer earlier this year shared in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that she had put together a home studio, but to not expect any new music too soon. She explained, “I don’t really feel comfortable putting anything out right now, because it’s just like other than this, it’s a really tricky time for all of that.”
