Ariana Grande Celebrates ‘Midsommar’-Themed 27th Birthday Party

Ariana Grande playfully reimagined one of 2019’s goriest horror flicks to celebrate her 27th birthday.

The superstar singer, whose birthday was on Friday (June 26), enjoyed a Midsommar-themed bash over the weekend, complete with elaborate crowns made of flowers and a perfectly set outdoor dinner table.

“So my friends surprised me [with] a theme…,” Grande captioned an Instagram Story photo of her gorgeous flower crown bouquet.

The “Thank U, Next” singer also shared many other fun moments from the soirée, including pics with her brother Frankie Grande and boyfriend Dalton Gomez. The star’s parents and other close friends were also in attendance.

The party even caught the attention of Midsommar star Florence Pugh, who gave it her stamp of approval on Instagram.

“Mayqueeen!! Now have some mushroom tea,” Pugh captioned an Instagram Story video of Grande’s party, referencing a scene from the film.

“I love uuuuuu,” Grande responsed.

Midsommar stars Pugh as a young woman who travels with her boyfriend to a remote Swedish village for midsummer festivities that bring some gruesome results.

Last year, Grande expressed her admiration of the creepy film on Twitter, writing, “do u think it’s okay that midsommar is my favorite bedtime movie atm or should I seek help immediately.”
