Adele Shares Mysterious Photo of Herself Performing On Stage

It’s not often that Adele shares photos of herself on Instagram, so when shed does, it’s always an unexpected treat for her 37.6 million followers.

One such photo drop arrived Saturday (June 27) when the 32-year-old British songstress shared an image of herself performing on stage with her arms spread and face looking to the sky. To tease fans further, she captioned the picture with a simple smiley face emoji.

This, of course, left her millions of followers guessing what the soaring photo might symbolize. Most seemed to agree — or hope — that it could mean new music is on the way, but Adele quickly squashed those rumors in the comments section.

“Teaser? Albums coming out today???!!!! Tell me now!!!!” one fan wrote in response to the photo.

Adele responded to the comment, writing, “of course not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient.”

Adele’s last album came in 2015 with the release of 25, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The set, her third studio album, featured Billboard Hot 100 hits “Hello” and “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).”

Adele last shared a photo of herself on Instagram in May. The picture, which showed the singer looking trim in a short black dress, was a thank you to fans who wished her a happy 32nd birthday.

“Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,” she captioned the pic.
